Sorry, Strut Tower Brace

I know awhile back he borrowed Kenny Browns design and make two. Was going to see if hes interested in making another run of them if there is enough people interested.

I just thought about it here, am I thinking of the correct person? please correct me if Im wrong!

He came by my work today. He is very busy working on all kinds of things. When I spoke with him last week he was having connection problems and couldn't stay on line for more than a few minutes. He lives about 2 1/2 hours away from me and still had to drive to the south side of H-town at rush hour so I doubt he is going to get in touch with you tonight.

I guess he's keeping secrets from me, didn't know he was making strut tower braces....or I forgot.

Wynn called me this AM. He has had to fill in during the holidays at work. So very busy and behind on our orders. Seems a lot of projects/orders hit him at once from club members. Did say he was moving into a larger shop this week to make our stuff, which he feels will help him catch up. Sounds like he is frustrated, but I am cool with him and in no hurry. He has my down tubes finished and manifolds machined, but need shot peen and paint.

He also is having phone problems, as his call notes did not give him all my message when looking for a MAF.

How patient are you guys with him. I just want to know if people are waiting for parts longer than me. And not getting e-mail replys. Parts are bought and paid for.

Wynn is a good guy. Works hard but this is not exactly a full time job for him. We have talked over the phone a few times. He keeps coming up with good ideas. So he is good for the community. I cut him slack, because he is pretty much a one man show. I told him when I sent my manifolds that it is no rush, because I knew he had a lot of orders and some are impatient.

Hope I said nothing out of line here Wynn.

As far as I know he was still having computer problems and moving, so give him some time.

I am pretty sure on one has waited anywhere close to that long for parts from him, unless they told him they were in no big hurry. Nobody knows where Fred is as far as I know.

I will forward this to him.

You are talking about Fred right? You could have always sent your cam into Comp Cams yourself.

Jeff

Thanks it's getting a bath right now, love that protective barrier.

Maybe I should not have posted anything. But Wynn did call because I needed a MAF real bad till I found out the one off the 91 would work on a 95.

He is having a communication problem due to phone system in his area and/or his ISP. He keeps getting knocked off. But he also had trouble with the answering machine or call notes. All at the same time while moving. So maybe he did not even get a message.

He did tell me he was aware of the North Eastern guys wanting stuff quick. But he said stuff was mailed by someone later than they promissed and he took on other work and so it all hit at the same time, or something like that. Like I told him, I am in no hurry. I put that note saying that in the box witht the manifolds. He owed me no explanation.

In the past he got me the gaskets quick, but I did buy a bunch all at the same time, just to deplete his stock. Got too many of these cars:D

I purchased gaskets and down tubes from Wynn. None of them took all that long. I've talked with him on the phone and I've kept in touch with e-mail.

We're all used to instant communication and become impatient when communication isn't instant.

I'm sure Wynn will get it taken care of.

I can understand some of the frustration with obtaining your parts in a timely fashion, but try to look at there side for just a moment. Fred, Wynn and myself all make parts or have services for the SC comunity and the problem is that we have jobs that actually pay our bills other than making parts. We dont make anything near enough money on SC parts to quit our paying jobs and devote full time to making SC parts. Both of these guy's are good guy's and have been around for a long time, there not trying to rip anyone off or totaly ignore you.
Sometimes our day jobs totaly consume our lives and theres not much we can do about that other than quit that paying job, but thats not a good idea in this economy.
The last time I heard from Fred he was working in an industrial job of somekind.(engineer, consultant or something) I do industrial work myself and the last job I had we worked 7 days a week 12 hrs a day for 13 months straight! Then add to that a 1 1/2 hr drive to work and another 1 1/2 hr drive home. Thats a total of 15 hrs per day and as you can see that doesnt leave any time for anything except work and sleep. This is a common practice in industrial work and we refer to it as feast or famine.
Meaning we have jobs that either leave us no time for anything except work and sleep or we dont have jobs at all and are unemployed until or even if another job comes along. The divorce rate is very high for industrial workers partly because of this. Many of these jobs require you to travel across the country as well and you may not be home for a loooong time. I dont know for sure but its highly likely that is whats happened to Fred. I know Fred does'nt want to handle things this way but aparently his surcumstances does'nt allow for him to do anything else right now.
Wynn is moving his oporation and starting another job if I'm not mistaken. Now add to that he's having comunication problems (internet and Phone) that are beyond his control. I assure you he is not happy with that and is trying everything he can to get it straightened up but theres only so much he can do.
I once had phone problems myself and could'nt stay on line or make many phone calls for a year! The phone co took there own sweet time repairing damage that an overzealous policeman did to the main trunk line when he decided it would be a good idea for him to tap into peoples phone lines and listen to see if they were doing anything illeagle.
I know your frustrated but I assure you neither one of these guy's are doing this because thats what they want to do.

Wynn seems to be a good guy. I bet he will get back on the forums as soon as possible.

I wasn't questioning Wynn's integrity in any way. I was just trying to get an idea of how ling other people were waiting. I understand he's busy and I've told him that and that was fine. Just an e-mail every couple weeks or so after i've paid to give me a status update is all I need. The man you were talking about working that much maybe should think twice about running a business and keeping paying customers from hanging to dry. Once again, I'm not referring to Wynn in anyway. I see he is a man of good moral with the assault of defensive posts on his behalf after I made a post this morning. I'm willing to be a lot more patient with Wynn than others because his prices compared to SC performance seem to be a lot better, like down tubes for example.
