Hey all, I did a search, but didn't find any clear pics of a cage installed on a bird (maybe I missed Jim Ds pics?). Anyway, I'd appreciate it if someone who has pictures of a cage installed in their t-bird could post them. Also, what kind of what is added to the vehicle and what exactly will the cage do in terms of impact resistance... I understand that it will help a great deal in terms of rolling, but what about in terms of side impact - driver and passenger side (thinking about the fiberglass doors)

Thanks,
Paul

"Paul my Roll Bar pictures"

Mine is mild steel with swing out side bar and removable back cross over bar its best to go with 4130 Chromoly its much lighter mine is 90lbs but built safe.

I will be replacing side swing out bar and back cross over bar with 4130 Chromoly to save some weight in preperation in setting up my car to reach the 10's this year

"SAFETY ON ROLL OVER"
With glass doors its best to have a full roll cage with window net as the doors would be first to come off leaving your left arm exposed and get ripped off. NHRA rules this my be manditory to have full roll cage and window net.

"STREET USE"
For the street with glass doors side impact I would have the side bars crossed like Pro Stockers or full cage hope this helps
