Non-SC brakes

My girlfriend has a 97 sunfire and the abs light comes on once and a while. Apparently this can usually be fixed with new relays on the sc, but are GMs abs systems similar? i dont know much about abs, so i dont know where to start here. any suggestions?

I don't know much about any vehicle other than my SC (or my '95 318 V8 Dakota), but you might want to take a look at the ABS wheel sensors to see if they have a bunch of crud on them. You could also possibly have one that has a loose mounting bracket. See if a local brake shop will do a "free inspection"....
