Ok I'm very sure there are many people in DFW that have Sc's....

I'm just wondering when you guys meet up and so forth because I like to get together

I just moved here from El Paso around 4 months ago and just trying to get to know some fellow SC owners

Keep me posted I guess!

I am in Cresson just South of Ft. Worth. About 15 miles South of I-20 on Hwy377 coming out of Benbrook.

So tell us about yourself. What about your SC? Any pics?

My name's Duane. I've read stuff about MSR and I definetly want to go sometime. I have a red 92 SC. 75 mm MAF, 75mm BBK throttle body, SCP Fresh Air intake, 1" rasied top, 5% pulley, Otto Racing gauges, PIAA hyperwhite headlights and Hella hyperwhite fog lamps. I also have an MP inlet plenum, some Eibach springs, and some 03 Cobra rims..but those items are not installed.

Duane, us SHO guys have an exhaust guy in Arlington we all use, he's good, knows his stuff and isn't expensive. When your ready for some new exhaust let me know and I'll give his info.

Jose made me a custom Y-pipe with 2 high flow cats, 2 and a half inch pipes all the way back to 2 new high flow turbo mufflers and 2 chrome tips for blue92 (my blue SHO). Before Jose's exhaust it dynoed at 177hp with 178ftlbs of torque, after the exhaust it dynoed at 194.5hp with 189ftlbs. of torque. The SHO screams down the road now, hauls a$$ too. When I crank it it sounds more like a V8 now too.

Don I doubt he is doing mandrel bends, where he has a slinky inside the pipe when bending right? Just curious. I don't want to spend the money for the SCP mandrel bent exhaust on all my SCs and then still install or pay someone to. But want a decent system which I figure your friend will deliver.

The white 4.2 stroker at MSR had the full SCP exhaust we SC owners can order for around 740. But then you still need high flow cats and either headers or open the manifolds which is all I am doing. Here is an example of the 2 systems, but a lot of guys have had custom exhaust made up like Don is suggesting.http://www.supercoupeperformance.com/

bOOsted I was thinking more of Head Gasket reliability and coolness of engine. With no mods these SCs have a rough time with the resonator pinch and the manifolds which need ground or machined out. Rest of pipe is too small as well most believe.

I am going with this guy Don knows at least on one car. If I ever get SCP I will go with the BIG DOG center pipe. I need HP not torque on road race track.

Doug I know Jose has a mandrel bending machine. I think every ricer in Arlington has had their custom exhaust build by him. Jose can do anything that has to do with exhausts.

Don,

I'll definetly have to take you up on that offer man. Especially since he does mandrel bends. I REALLY don't want to spend more than like 500 bucks of possible. How much did yours run? That would give me a rough estimate. I would only need some bigger piping and a resonator. As long as he's less that 740 bucks then that sounds awesome. I'm going to be working in Arlington starting in March so that will be convinient.

Duane, Jose charged me $470 bucks to build, make, and instaul my exhaust. He did the hole job in about 3 hours. My exhaust also included a bigger resonator and a 3in. flex pipe. He keeps all kinds of stuff in stock. He also is a dealer for Flowmaster and Magnaflow.

Well 470 isn't bad

And if he sells MagnaFlow then he most likely has the resonator that I want then. Damn thanks for the tip man. Saved me and maybe Doug like 300 bucks

Thanks but I just droped bucks on lightweight clutch etc, and some new wheels in 2 group buys. Didn't want to do that right now but had to take advantage of the savings.

On another note here is an email from the head of Fordbastards on 2 meetings comng up in DFW area. I hope to make both. What about the rest of you?

From Don (blue92):
I'm going to be hookin up with the Marauder Club this Sat. at
4pm at Chucks Hamburgers in the Taget Parking lot at the
corner of 114 and 26 in Grapevine, Tx. Would like to see some
fordbastards there to join me. So wash those SHOs and Birds
and make them purdy.

Also the TCCoA (T-bird) guys are having their 1st meeting for the
DFW chapter Sunday March 7th at 4pm at Hooters on 635 and
Town East Blvd in Mesquite, there are some Birds coming over
from East Texas that's why this location was picked. Anyway
among other Bird topics there will be 2 topics that concern us
fordbastards discussed, the convention and the Spring run. So I
hope to see a good turn out from you fordbastards for this
meeting.
