lents over & i'm back!!!

hey gang,

hello to all who are new (since i left). well for lent (Catholic Religious Observation) i gave up the sccoa website which included this bbs. lents over now and i am back.

lots happened since i've left. ended up blowing head gaskets again :( and did a complete rebuild...if you read the sig i ahve it will explain why. so i now have a mild upgrade to a stock rebuild...just forged pistons and molly rings. felpros alla round, i milled the block as recomended by dr. fred. i emailed with him back and forth and he gave me some suggestions but due to time and money i couldn't so it all. also i put in some flowmaster delta 40's and i think i need a resonator cuz all it really does is humm right now

so now i got my bird back and its running stronger than ever...there are 3 other sc's now in my block for a grand total of 6 including mine...one fo them is on 20" so if ur into that kind of thing i can take some pix for you.

i got a new job here at the army corps of engineers in downtown la so i can afford to do more things to the bird.

Hey man...welcome back!

I guess you'll be in on the August 24th Smackdown with the Nor-Cal crew?
Take it easy on the SC this time. At least until the "Shoot-Out". That is if they get enough birds to come down.
I believe John Shelton and a couple other guys are getting together at Irwindale on April 21st, if you want to slide out there.
I am trying to run-down a whine or grind in the motor area that I thought was a water pump. I should be ready to run with you guys by the 21st.

thanks for the welcomes. i gotta take it ez on the sc this time. but not to worry i will make it out to the smackdown so we can hand big jd his ~~~ on a platter hahaha j/k jd a little friendly smack talking. im about to be done breaking in the engine this week, the last 100 miles...so im gonna try to make it to the track at irwindale seeing as its only the 1/8 mile i figure it wont hurt the car that bad.

manny, i see you got pix, way to go bro, and don't sweat these guys talking their mess, el mas caso que les hagas, lo mas lo van a hacer, just chill out and build a sc stronger than all of theirs to make em jeallous :)
