Best way to troubleshoot a ps leak???

My ps has had a small leak for a few years. Now the leak is much bigger (maybe 2oz a day). I do not think the leak is in the pump because it is only 2 years old.

I assume that the leak is in one of the lines. However, all of the lines are very greasy, and it is difficult to determine which line its.

My Questions:

What is the best way to find the leak?

Are the lines difficult to replace?

thanks for any tips

Alex, You should probally check right where the lines go under the oil pan. Your motor mounts may be shot and the motor is actually smushing or chafing the lines on the k-member. Its common for this to happen, but if your mounts have been changed then the leak may be elsewhere. My power steering line has a nice flat spot on it, I only have 86,000 miles and my driver side was split in two, and the passenger was very soft from all the fluid leaking out. Hope this helps

How about clean off all the lines and connectors, and see which one gets dirty again? Just use some degreaser and rags. A leak of 2 oz per day should be pretty easy to spot.
