Will the master cylinder from a 90 SC work in a 92 V8 HO?

No.

The 90 Master cylinder integrates the Teves ABS braking mechanicals and is not vaccum assisted. It is assisted via a hydraulic pump.

If your 5.0 has ABS, it should work.

It's not mine, but he says he has 4 wheel ABS.

Here is what the SC master cylinder looks like. If his looks the same it will fit. If not, it won't.
