Stiff as a Rock Brake Pedal

The other day I was driving and my brake pedal all the sudden got stiff as a rock. It snowed a couple days later and I had to move it and noticed that when the abs should be kicking on the pedal actualy releases and is normal but when I take my foot off the brake it goes right back to being hard as a rock. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem before and if maybe they have some insight on how to fix it. thanks

I think we all have been there. Look on the left side firewall and there are 2 or 3 relays there. One is a brown topped relay and it runs the abs pump motor. Those are a known common fault. I believe the GP Sorensen MR120? I would start there first.

Yeah, definitely, check the relay. It's about a $12 fix to get a new one and it take about 5 minutes to pop off the cowl, switch the relays out, and put the cowl back on. Solved my stiff pedal issue.
