suspension issue?

I need some help...Yesterday, I noticed that my 94SC was bouncing abnormally, and this morning I noticed I have about 2" drop in the front end. Could it be the electric ride control has a leak? What can I do to fix it? Or is it something else?

Ride control is for the shock firmness settings only. The SC doesn't have air suspension like the Lincoln Marks. Shocks don't hold your car up, the springs do. So you either have broken coil spring(s), or something askew at one of the suspension mounting points.

If you're not sure what to look for, get a qualified technician to inspect it for you !!

Thanks. Sounds like a good plan to me.

Ok. I took it to a mechanic.
He put it up on a lift, didn't see anything, lowered it...and it was at the proper height again...looked at it again...still didn't see anything. (granted...he didn't charge me anything...but still)
I am more confused now!

I agree 100% with Ed. If it went back to normal then you probably have something broken and now its resting on something that makes it look like its back in the right position.
