View Full Version : Blower Motor Speed Controller

I have the Automatic Temperature Control (aka Electronic Climate Control). My blower will only work in the "high" position. On a non-ATC (ECC), the Helm says it's the blower resistor. But they really don't say what causes the problem if you have ATC. There is a "Blower Motor Speed Control" in the same place that the non-ATC resistor should be. The Helm says that the BMSC only functions for when you have the system in "Automatic" mode. But what else could it possibly be that is causing my blower to not operate. That's GOT to be it, right?? FYI, I (finally!) found a new climate control box and replaced that, and that didn't fix it. Anyone else heard this problem and how to fix? Thanks!

That hasnt happened on my 89, but trying to fix a similar problem for my 94 i read many posts where simply changing that resistor will do the job for the early-style blowers. It should only be a few bux at a junk yard.
