How'd you like to work offshore?

Scarry chit not for a Land Lubber like me. Pay must be awesome.
Even worse is being a diver/welder working on the offshore rigs.

I remember riding on a nuc carrier in a Pacific typhoon back in about 87-flight deck sits 65 feet above the surface-I was in Buzzards Row watching the waves sweep across the flight deck and hitting the island at about the 40 foot mark! Makes the waves right around 100 foot mark. Not a fun time for any of us-we were trying to make port, and having one hell of a time-the commander of the battle group finally said screw it and we hid on the leeward side of a small group of islands-still had to deal with wind but at least the waves calmed down to 20' swells.

one word : WOW it looks like it is practically swallowing that boat.

no match for the Lake Erie waves though.....:) ;) :p

That's mental!!!!

I grew up sailing, and I never got used to rough water.

I'd like to see some of those carrier pics also!!
