Hello again fellow Birdheads,
just wondering if there is a manufactuer that offers a Hi Performance coil pack for the SC?
MSD does'nt, Accel, nope, Jacobs, uh uh, Mallory, sorry.
All this according to the guys at Summit Racing.
Clues anyone?:(
Also removed Motorcraft AWSF-34pp plugs and installed Motorcraft AGSF-34fm plugs.
Is this OK?
Gas mileage sucks, thought a tune-up might be in order.
Adding new motorcraft ignitions wires also.
Never new how much fun it could be installing plugs in one of these things.
Can bad o2 sensers cause poor mileage?
This inquireing mind would like to know.
Thanks in advance.

spark plugs

first of all o2 sensors will screw up gas milage if their bad the motor runs to rich i failed en emissions test beacause o them put new ones on it passed and got better gas milage as far as the sparkplugs if their the same size gap and they burn the same i dont see a ploblem i put motorcraft double platinum on mine and its alot easier to change them from underneath trust me iff not u can take the accessory brackets off that aint to bad except for the bottom intercooler tube you need some extensions a swivel and some patience and good look finding it its underneath the tube in the middle .

i just had mine apart for motor mounts and headgaskets

How "bad" is your fuel milage? If it was okay and it went downhill, I would check out the cam sensor, air filter, and pcv valve. Dave is correct on the ignition system question. Check out his page...he knows.

Cam senser was just replaced at the local Ford dealer.
Injecters were also cleaned.
Fuel filter changed.
Combined city and highway mileage is about 16 mpg.
Went I got the car about a year ago, city mileage alone was about 15 mpg.
Wondering about the o2 sensers. How do I check them?
