Off in the corner hidden away was this. A never fired SC engine with all the original caps and paint markings.

That's quite the find !!!

If nobody on here wants to buy it (assuming that it's for sale) ... throw 'er on eBay ... you should be able to get top dollar for that.

cheers,

Well Frank it looks like its a flywheel sheild covering of course the flywheel. But that part in the center of the cover that is curved in a circle like maybe a shaft goes through, well that looks alot like my buddy's engine dyno hookup..........Hmmmmmmm......

It sort of looks like a marine application to me.....

But you are likely right Mike. I have never won an award for being a genius.;)

There will be a lot of parts that I will not need, so they will come up for sale. I'm sure Rich will reply at some point, but from his post I would assume that he plans to use this motor.

Thanks for the compliment Duane.

Dave is correct it is that engine that was going to be used for a marine application. I stopped by my dads house the other day to visit and take some pictures of it for him. Rich has been pretty busy lately so he has not posted yet. It is pretty amazing to actually see the new parts that are usually worn from age and use. As of right now I am going to be helping him put the engine into one of his project cars. If he would choose to sell it that is up to him.

Thought it would fit nice on the back of my wife's jet ski. Heck I might pull that cheap chevy V8 outa the boat for that thing. Could sure make a nice water cooled IC in a boat. Mike38SC would have more radiator work.;)

Out of all those engines your Dad has access to please let me know if he wants to sell for a boat.

Scott,

Would you contact me or send me a PM so that I can contact you. I need to talk to you or your Dad. You guys have some information that I need. If I can get this information from you before Monday, that would be great.

All I want is that bracket on the exhaust manifold to pull the motor. I have never seen one on any SC or mabe there gone on the first head gasket change. The only thing missing from this engine to be a marine applacation is the convo kit for the exhausts. I did a lot of motors in boats.

My '94 has that bracket on it, of course it's on stock head gaskets.
