Fpr Proactive?

I have the heads off of my 94 SC right now.
I'm replacing some of the things that are easy to get to now.

I was wondering about the Fuel Pressure Regulator?

I don't have any reason to beleive mine is bad (it is original though). Does this part wear out like most others?

Is there any harm in putting in a new one?
I definetely don't want to replace this bad boy once everything is put back on.

any comments are apprecieated.

Thanks
Bob

On my 88 turbo tbird, the fuel milage went from mid 20's to under 10, but it still ran decent. I had no way to measuer pressure, although there is a schrader valve to attach a guage to. I replace the FPR because it was only 15 bucks. that fixed it. They do wear out, and if it is hard to get to, you owe it to yourself to change it while its easy..
