Tail running lights not on at night

I was looking at the back of my car with the lights on last night and I realized that the large running lights in the rear are not on. Are they supposed to be on for my year? How can I fix this. I imagine that there is a cut wire or something like that somewhere, but I dont know how to take off the taillights. Thanks for your help.

what year sc do you have 89-91 or 92-95?

88-91 onlt has corner lights, the large center tail lenses are actually just reflectors.

92-95 The large taillights do light up. They may be unplugged from a previous owner. I say this because the lights are known to go burnt out alot, and there is no replacment bulbs for them (leds). You would have to buy a whole new tail light.

i got to say i do love the 92+ tailights how they light up i wish the 89's did the same
