Speaker Swap Out

I Just purchaced a 90 Thunderbird SC with only 90k on the clock... few minor problems which ill get around to fixing when the weather warms up here....

anyway im getting ready to swap out the speakers in the car, leaving the factory wiring in tact and was wondering if i could put in some 6.5" in with out any modifications or fabriaction. otherwise ill just stick to the goofy *** for 6x8 size thats in there.

if anyone has done this swap let me know please

you can just make a speaker ring out of mdf or what ever you have laying around to fit the stock hole. I did it in the doors of my 95 took about a hour tops.

i have a pioneer deh7300 in my bird and i wouldnt change the factory speakers for anything, they sound great, the newer explorers have jbl sealed two ways in the doors with a built in crossover and they sound sweet, i have a set in my car, and they come in the werd 6x8 format also.
