shifting into 3rd and 4th with aod

hey guys i have 3.08 rear end in my SC and under normal driving i cant get it out of 2nd gear unless i really punch it when it shifts outta 2nd at about 4600rpm and than ill go into 3rd otherwise under normal driving say i can be running at 3500rpm or so in 2nd gear on the throttle lightly to hold my speed and it doesnt even try to shift, otherwise it shifts flawless

any ideas?

Two things-Fresh fluid and filter-have the TV cable adjusted

That should take care of the problem-if it doesn't-you have a problem deeper in the tranny.

Check to see if the gromet on the TV linkage on the t-body is broken. It is pretty common for it to dry out and break.

Well i did the TV cable and its not the fluid....

any other ideas. i get such poor economy when doing 50mph or so and in 2nd gear with high rpm's

any ideas guys, its really killing me

I'd take it to some trans shops for diagosis and quotes.
