are those just regular pop rivets holding the honey comb thing on the bumper support? i can just drill out the center of the pop rivet remove the honeycomb thing, and then reinstall after i paint everything with new poprivets?

thanks,
jeff

Yes, they are regular pop rivets. Just drill them out. However, finding a rivet tool that will get in there could be a problem. I used 1/4" X 3/4" self tapping screws and they worked fantastic.

I just pulled mine off last week, and used a sharp wood chissel. Slid it between the honeycomb and steel piece, and gave it a tap with a hammer. Used a small punch and punched out the left overs.

I drilled and used machine thread small bolts to install the new one. I couldn't find a rivot gun with a long enough nose.
