High Octane Q's

I went to the track last night and for the first time used 100 octane. The goo thing was my MPH was up by almost 4 in the 1/8 and up 2 in the 1/4 but my et was down by almost 2 tenths. Last time I ran it was 45 degrees out and last night it was in the 70's. Could the temps make that much of a difference? And what does my MPH being up so high mean?

Using higher octane fuel will not help you unless you have highly advanced timing or are running high boost levels that are causing the car to detonate and thus pull timing. Your higher trap speeds and slower E/Ts are because you are getting increased wheelspin at the start of your runs. Temperature differences of 20-40 degrees like you mentioned will also affect your times.
