Can anybody recommend a good shop in the Bay Area that really knows SCs and will pay a little closer attention to detail than the dealership?

Thanks!

Hello Steve,
Welcome to the Nor Cal Club,
There is a pretty good shop called Sprint Mechanics in South San Jose. The owners name is Tom. He is very honest and does not mind working on our cars. He does not do things express but he does a good job and knows our cars. Evan, Nathan, Alex, Kevin, and I have all had major work done there with no problems. You are more than welcome to Let him know that David Rainer sent you there.
Laterz,
D Rainer

...or both of us. Tom is great... Sprint Mechanics all the way.

I've been to 5 different places for this car and this was by far the best experience.

Hey many thanks guys. I'll definitely check out Sprint. My SC's stock now but I want to start getting it tricked starting with an Eibach spring kit and I'm gonna check into shocks somebody mentioned on the tech board ....I guess they're called H&R Stage 2's or Bilsteins shocks........ever heard of those?

I highly reccomend Sprint Mechanics, do you have their number? Also while you are there check out Tom's trans-am, it is one AWESOME car. Also see if kevin's SC is there, try to talk him into taking you for a spin in it.

Machine Shop Service in Burlingame. 650-342-1966. He has been in business for over 30 years and knows his stuff. Takes his time and is kind of gruff but he does good work.
