Top Half / Full Rebuild

I've got a 1.5 to 2 grand to spend and what i believe to be burnt or bent valves. I am looking at just pulling the top half of the motor out and rebuilding the heads only. My only reservatoin is that the motor has 96K on it and I don't see me having the time (being in the service with a wife and two kids) to go back into the motor in another 10 to 20k just to replace something in the lower half. Is it possible to refresh the whole motor for that much? Don't need anything fancy. My SC is my daily driver and I am still making 200 a month payments on it. All I want is strong and dependable. I pretty much have just one shot at it. No time for "Going back in".
If you all do think I can refresh the whole motor for under $2k, what would be the most important machine work to get done.
As far as Cam's go, I was told by the Ford parts counter that our stock cam is no longer available. Neither Summit or JEGS carries a cam that fits our cars either? Is Coy Miller our only hope?
Any and all information you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee
