a long long time ago in a galaxy far away......oh wait thats a wierd al song.....my saga with the tranny just keeps getting worse and worse, they got the trans in, and the driveshaft doesnt fit, the tailshaft housing is too long !?!?! i guess that no 22 on the trans as opposed to the 23 on the sc trans meant more than just the fact the sc has beefy oem parts....so now they are gonna swap the old tailshaft housing onto the new tranny, and hopefully the tailshaft itself doesnt need cut, which is a possibility.... they are gonna call me back once they get the TS housing off...

god i hate transmissions...its looking like im gonna have to have this thing towed somewhere afterall :(

Unbelievable...check that, it's believable. Hang in there Pete, it'll be over before you know it.

Too bad you cannot order a new driveshaft... Dennis Reinhart has the Metal Matix aluminum ones. I do not know how much they cost tho. He is in Jacksonville.

i just got off the phone with aaron and ken and they said the car is done, thats the good news, now the bad news, it has no revearse, nor does it have 2 3 or 4, yeah it stuck in first :( im gonna email him the tv cable adjustment instructions but im willing to bet this problem has something to do with that stupid shifter linkage which he said he thought he got in right but wasnt sure, which means i may have to take it to a trans shop and have them take the whole mess back out and reinstall it :(

i think im gonna entertain offers of $2500 obo for the car and just cut my losses, i cant afford $100 per day for a rental plus $500+ to have a tranny shop tell me the tranny is bad and then wait another few months to get another one put in...i really dont know what to do at this point

the car is on its way to a shop via flatbed, they are gonna inspect the shift linkage, and give me a free estimate as to what needs done...i hope its just the linkage and not something major.... if it is major and the have the pull the tranny im sending the tranny company a bill.
