Happened to me too about a year ago on my 95. It's the cam shaft sensor. I bought mine from Ford, reset the codes and walla! No more check engine light! And you don't really have to set the engine to 26 degrees BTDC like the haynes and chilton manual say that you do. The Ford manual (Helms) tells you that if you are removing/installing the rotor (that sits under the sensor), THEN you have to set the engine to 26 degrees BTDC. I just took off the two screws (a little magnet helps so you don't lose those little buggers) and off with the old. Then install the new one, but make sure that you remove the red seal if it stays stuck in the harness. The new sensor comes with a new red seal (for the harness).
