Super Charger coupler?

That's usually what they blame... Seems to me that it should be a cheap fix. I'd think that any serious machine shop could mill one of those out of plastic or aluminum stock for next to nothing. I'd be tempted to manufacture one myself on a bench using a dremel tool and some duct tape.. (OK, so not really the duct tape, but I think you all get the point). To me, this is doable for far far less than the cost of a rebuild.

I wonder if the stock spring type coupler is available? Probably only Magnuson would have them. The spring type is much better at controlling noise than a solid coupler. My 89 SC has one and I know they came on 94 and 95 SC blowers. Instead of six holes in the coupler you have 3 holes and 3 slots. The three holes go on the pins on the SC gear. The three slots line up on the nose drive. The slots is also rubber lined for cushion and noise control. The spring takes up the slack and acts like a cushion until the nose drive moves to the end of the slot.
