heat wrap?

hey guys currenty i have my k&n filter in the fendermount but i was thinking about throwing some heat wrap on the tube from the MAF to TB if you want to call it a tube, because in my engine bay it gets very hot very quick, wondering if its worth it to do ? to keep the air coming in a little cooler

how much of a benefit would that be ? im not very familiar with the intercooler setup but the return tube is the one on the bottom or top?

Its the lower tube. It returns the air to the intake manifold after it has been cooled by the intercooler. This is what you want to keep cool. You can wrap the whole tube in header wrap, and then use heat shield fabric (looks like a blanket with foil on it) over the top of the exhaust manifolds.

This requires removing the upper tube, intercooler, and lower tube. Getting the lower tube off is a pain in the butt. You have to remove the driver's side accesories and accesory bracket from the engine block to get to it.

I have a pic I will dig up for ya..
