What is a 4.2 MLS headgasket?

Here is a link that will answer some of your questions.

I would not reccomend using these gaskets unless your doing a rebuild and decking the block and head surfaces. These gaskets require a very smooth surface to seal properly. I would also use APR head studs torqued to 85 ft.lbs.

These gaskets are good for high performance applications (high boost or nitrous) where oringing the bock would normally be necessary, if your just replacing gaskets on a mostly stock engine your better off using the regular fel pro composite gaskets.

You can get the 4.2 gaskets from any ford dealer..they are stock replacements on late model F150 trucks. They cost about $90 for a set.

It will also be necessary to remove one brass rivet for clearance. You will see which one when installing them.
