I have a 91 manual. Well it appears my fuel pump may have gone. Just crossed 100,000 miles and totally got stranded 2 miles from home. Fires up, chokes out. Replaced my cam sensor 2 years ago so I do not think its that again. Anyway, I am having my mechanic put in a new 190 lph but I thought I might switch the tank to the newer style to open things up for a new exhaust set-up. 2 birds 1 stone-right?
What are my options, 94 or 95 Sc tanks only, I have read before about LX tanks some have used. Search doesn't work so I simply posted for help. I want to make it as easy as possible for my mechanic, any help and feedback is appreciated.

Search is working.

Any Thunderbird gas tank 92-up may be used. Be sure and get the passenger side strap with the tank.

You will need to install your new exhaust at the same time, since the old pipes won't fit the new tank. I would also recommend a new Ford rubber gasket where the sending unit goes into the tank.
