Should I use an Air/Fuel ratio guage?

I'm askin' whether I should use an Air/Fuel guage. I read in another post in this forum that someone had tried to use one but the guage was useless to them because the signal was narrow band. Is this true? Don't wanna waste the money on a useless guage.

THey are correct. It's only good for idle and maybe part throttlle. It basically just a light show. For performance and tuning, you need one of the wide band setups, usually $300+++

i just hooked a voltmeter to the black wire on the 02 sensor it helped me a lot i could tell if its rich or lean and when it goes into open loop my car is pretty good over all staying near .5 volts in closed loop and .7 to .8 volts in open loop and it goes to open loop around 4 pounds of boost
