I've seen posts a while back on this but can't find them. Can anyone give me the basics on this setup? How much, where to buy, how well it fits, etc...
Maybe even a picture?
Thanks,
Kurt

Hey Kurt, I think Beedogg91 has it on his, LessoninTorque had it on his, and there was someone else... I'll have to think about that..

I have one on my car. I am posting some pics of the top for Flip so I will get one of the intake for ya. It fits good, not perfect though. The bends aren't perfect so it touches a little. The one you need is SOHC Focus intake. Go to EBAY motors and put focus intake and you should get 50 or so. You will also need to extend the hose because it is on the other side.

Jake, what was the name of the guy you buoght yours from? I'd like to get it from someone that won't rip me off. Also where does it touch that it's not supposed to? What would be a fair price for it?
Thanks,
Kurt

I believe Bryan has a white CAI. Of course Jake may have had one too, all I remember seeing on his car was the FMIC!!!

I think he was referring to the PVC pipe Jake may have formerly had.
My setup is mandrel bent 3" exhaust pipe cut and welded together with a custom fabricated piece that puts the conical filter in the fender. I kind of copied the ZR setup I had seen on Dan's SC. I formerly had the Denscharger setup from Steven Christ which wasn't to my satisfaction. That setup had the 3" 90 degree bend before the MAF. Not really a good setup because this can screw with the MAF signal to the computer.

I laughed so hard when I read that, man you have a good memory or mine is shot! I forgot all about that PVC intake on my car, that ugly thing worked good though.

Hey performance isn't about looks :D It is about going fast. Sometimes you have to go the inexpensive route to gain performance when you are on a budget.
Not everyone has the tools and equipment available to fabricate the CAI that I did. But I'll bet the PVC setup worked just as well as mine does.

to fabricate the CIA that I did.
I always thought Bryan was somewhat mysterious. Does this mean the CIA insn't a real agency, just a fabricated story? :p

I'm sorry Kurt ... I don't know what you are refering to.
Ok, sure. At least answer one question, did Al Gore help you fabricate the CIA?
Kurt
BTW, what is the name of your Cobra's color?

See I was thinking you used to have a white CAI pipe... Maybe you could go back to it and add some of that green 4140 stuff on the downturned 90... :D
