question about 89 SC, talladega?

I have been looking for information about the 89 Tbird SC with the talladega decals. Anyone know if there was a special edition or anything about the decals? The car is white with red pin stripes down the side with talladega on the back fenders.

I personally have never seen a Talladega edition of the SC. Can you post any pictures?

I have seen some other NASCARish versions. I think there was a Davy Allison edition (black with stripes) and a Bill Elliot edition (red with stripes, I tend to remember one being a 5.0L car with SC ground effects...) I am pretty sure these were dealer installed packages. I would tend to bet the same is true of your Talladega version.

Do you happen to know who the original dealer was? Perhaps you could get some information from them.

My brother was the 2nd owner, and he was curious about it. He called ford directly and they said the VIN # wasn't a correct vin of a Tbird SC. So, I am doubting the dealer will have any information on it. But I will try to find where it was originally bought, maybe there is a paper from original owner.

I will post pictures shortly. The pinstripes aren't original cause someone backed into me, but I made sure they didn't remove the talladega off the rear fenders.
