Ok, well I exagerated on the magnets and cracked pulleys part, its been a long month. Anyway next up we have some shiny new billet aluminum supercharger nuts available in two styles. This is not a group purchase but rather a sale for this item which will last for the next 10 days meaning they go to regular retail pricing on the 11th. See details below:

Option 1 is an open ended hex nut. Wieght comes in at a measly 18 1/2 grams without overall length around .850".
http://www.BlueTongueMotorsports.com/BTMParts/M90nuts/M90Nuts7t.jpg
Retail price is $9.99, sale price $7.99+$1.75 for shipping (lower 48 states).

_______________________________________________

Option 2 is a closed ended hex nut. Weight comes in at 24 grams and overall length at just over 1 1/16".
http://www.BlueTongueMotorsports.com/BTMParts/M90nuts/M90Nuts8t.jpg
Retail price $14.99, sale price $12.99+$1.75 for shipping (lower 48 states).

Order more than one and there will be no additional shipping charge. I will weigh up the stock steel nut and edit this post with its information later tomorrow as well as add pics of the billet nuts installed.

This is a sale, if it is decided that a few people want to get together and do a group purchase instead, I will further reduce the price to $6.49 for the open end and $11.49 for the closed end. A total of 25 pieces need to be ordered to do group buy pricing. These will be available to ship on Friday April 2nd so post up if you are interested so we can determine which way to do this. I will accept certified check, money order or Paypal (PaypalOrders@BlueTongueMotorsports.com). Canadian orders, please contact me via email with your address prior to ordering.

Few notes to add, I have received some questions about these regarding installation. The stock M90 nut has a nylon ring at the end which is to act as a "locknut". As many of you already know, this is a one time use item that never gets replaced when removed for whatever reason. This nut aluminum design has been in service on a few vehicles in excess of 3 years on blowers spinning over 18k RPM daily without any issues. When installed, the aluminum galls at the contact point which locks it in place. You can use locktite if you wish, however, you may never be able to remove the nut after that point. It should be inspected periodically to ensure it is tight. I will not take any responsibility for it loosening up and allowing your pulley to walk or backing off and becoming lost as I cannot be present to oversee proper installation. Please consider this before making your purchase and if you are uncomfortable with this or it is illegal in your area to not warranty this item, please DO NOT buy it. This is not directed toward anyone person or persons, it is being stated to save you and I time and disgruntlement (if thats even a word  ). I made this item at the request of several and am marking the cost up very little to cover my time.

(Rats, I was really excited about getting one of the aluminum magnets... :( ;) )

P.S. Josh, Paul sells the aluminum 5% pulley and it is a very nice piece! :D

So I assume the closed off one will extend all the way to the end of the shaft whereas the other one just goes on a little ways?

Looks like I am payin normal price tho, I don't get paid till next Friday, lol

Thanks a lot for making these though Paul, I knew you would come through for me, :D

Hang tight for a bit, a new lighter weight and less expensive billet blower pulley is on its way. There will be a special coming up on them in the next week or so.
any way---do u recommend loctite for install
If you are not planning on taking the pulley off, I see no reason why you cant use it. If you end up putting a quick change pulley on the blower, then by all means, use some locktite.
So I assume the closed off one will extend all the way to the end of the shaft whereas the other one just goes on a little ways?
Thats pretty much an accurate way to look at it. Ill be getting more pics together in after this post and get them up tonight.

Don't worry, Ive got you covered. It looks like this is on its way to a group buy so I will probably extend the deadline a bit if thats the case since this wont be one of those do or die deadlines for people.

Like I said before guys, these wont be ready to ship till Friday so we have a little time before worrying about payments and stuff. BTW, I see I did not mention it before, these nuts are in raw form meaning they are not anodized so you can polish them to a mirror :D

Rick, you already have the weight difference on the nuts, Ill see if I can locate a stock pulley to compare the weight of. It is quite significant.

Hey Paul! I"ll take 2 of the open end nuts. also do you have the bolt and washer for the harmonic balancer? thanks! Tom

BT Motorsports
04-03-2004, 05:17 PM
Yes, I have the bolt and washer for the balancer. The bolt is the same as stock grade (10.9) but is the correct length unlile the mustang bolt. Cost is $10+2.65 shipping.

Paul

P.S. Did you ever get that money order for the girdle squared away?

Flip
04-03-2004, 07:08 PM
Paul,

Put me in for the bolt and washer also, I did not think you had the bolt ready for sale yet, I'll paypal you another $12.65.
Thanks,
Flip :D

Guys, I need to clarify about the bolt and washer since I feel there is some confusion. This a stock replacement equivelant to the SC bolt and washer originally offered, HOWEVER, it is not the higher strength chrome molly piece discussed in the past. If you have already sent money thinking it was the chrome molly unit, please email me and I will refund you if you want. What I mentioned above is for those who may need an immediate replacement or are uncomfortable using the mustang bolt and do not want to wait for the chrome moly piece.

Well, it seems like we have a few people who want 5% pulleys right away so I am going to step up the group buy. I will post the details up by Tuesday night and run it till April 17th.

Paul

Flip, did you want me to refund your payment for the bolt or do you want what I currently have available?

Flip
04-04-2004, 04:47 PM
Paul,

I want the current bolt if the production of the new one is going to be sometime away. (I will replace it at a later date) I also want a 5% pulley so please hold this order untill the pulley sale is complete. I'm not in that big of a hurry, I will be installing everything in about 2 weeks. Thanks,Flip

Tazer, your word is good enough, I gotcha covered. Probably wont be shipping the pulleys till around the 23rd anyway since I need to finish production and get them anodized still.

Ok guys, the blower pulley sale is posted http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?p=277006#post277006
I will have a stock early and late style blower pulley to weigh by the end of the weekend for comparison purposes.

Were the supercharger nuts shipped last Friday?

BT Motorsports

Most went Friday, a couple however didn't make it till Monday. Everyone should have theirs by by Monday.

Paul

A few people have expressed to me concern for installing the supercharger nut tight enough given the lack of ability to firmly hold the supercharger from spinnging during installtion, even with a strap wrench. As a result of this concern, I am advising that everyone who has or does purchase one of these nuts in the future use loc tite during their installation.
