i was just wondering if any of the thunderbirds or cougars came with a different computer than the others I know the autos and manuals have different computers, but did the manuals have different part numbers for different computers and if so was one better than the other. The reason I'm asking this is because my old cougar was faster than my sc is, but the sc has the cougar motor in it. the gears are the same and the trannys the same. the cougar would do 120 in 3rd and the sc only does 105. Can someone explain this and can people post some part numbers for the computers that their cars have in it.Thanks

How many miles on it ... I know when I had a couple cylinders go on mine I was way down on power.. Maybe do a compression test...

its a new motor. Like i said its the one out of my cougar and thats why i dont understand why the cougar was faster and would do 120 in third while the sc only does 105.
