Where is the cheapest/best place to acquire these? Do autoparts stores have this, or is it Ford only? Is there anything longer lasting to replace them with?

No, not the stealership!
I got mine at a local Advanced Auto parts, it was about $50 for both of them. You may be able to get them cheaper online or somewhere else. Most auto parts places should have them, so, I would say stay away from the stealership (stole that from someone else here on SCCOA
) .
