Just got some new shoes for the bird!

What a difference!

The door says 30 pounds....

My new Kumhos say 44 max....

Anyone messed with tire pressure????

44 psi is the maximum inflation pressure for that particular tire, regardless of what vehicle it's installed on. That doesn't mean that you need to run it at 44. You would only need to put anywhere near that much in, if you were loading the vehicle very heavily, with 5 occupants, and a trunk full of bowling balls or something. The vehicle manufacturer comes up with the specs for tire size and pressure when develping the car, that's the info. you see on the passenger door post placard. 30 is fine. If you want sharper handling, try a few more pounds. I generally run about 2 psi higher in the front of my car compared to the rear, since it is a front-heavy car, and the higher pressure will give you a bit sharper steering repsonse, at the expense of a slightly stiffer ride.
