 first two runs i did with a passenger (aprox. 150 lbs) was 8.66 and 8.33......which was expected, then he told me that i never redlined or push it aat all, cuz i love my car and i rarely push it. after ricers laughed that up i went for another run to shut em all up, and shut em up I DID :D 7.12 seconds, i was impressed and quite pleased, i took first right ot the redlined threw it into 2nd and she churped and i was goneeeeeee. i think without him in the car i could MAYBE get 6's???? anyway it was sweet

are u talking 0-60 or 1/8 mile?

I'm about 100% certain he means 0-60mph, if he ran low 7's in the 1/8th mile, his SC would running 11's in the 1/4 mile and modded like hell. :D

pretty good

my stock 90 sc 5 spd does a 6.8 with my friend in the car aprox. 200lbs, and the car also has 162,000 miles on it with original everything, the car is very impresive especially when i beat up all over my buddies 95 sc auto.

what do u guys think my 0-60 is? I have 1.87 60 ft times 13.8 at 96mph art carr non lock up tranny 3.73s fully built with transgo valve body plus engine bolt on mods. Another question i am running 30 psi for the tv pressure mechanic said that is stock aod pressure does any one know if this is correct or if not what is the proper tv line pressure?

ya i think i could probably get that too......if i really ripped on it hard..i found 0-60 times for my 89 SC on www.car-stats.com and it said 7.4 for the 89 SCs and for the 94-95 its 7 flat so i was pretty excited about me gettin 7.1 with a passenger.....i wonder if the g-techs aren't accurate or the times on that website aren't.......i took her to red line each shift :D

G-tech meters aren't exactly known for their accuracy. :) I've read quite a few cases in which those Escort Passport accelerometers are almost dead on accurate w/ 1/4 mile times(some guy used his on an actual dragstrip and came out w/ almost the exact time he ran in the 1/4 mile). Anyways, for the guy running 13.8's above, I would say 0-60 would be somewhere in the high 5's or so if I had to take a guess.

Here's a site that has a 0-60 calculator based on 1/8 mile ET and trap speed
http://www.binaryinc.org/modules.php?name=Auto_Calc

It's probably not very accurate though...

g-tech's are accurate as long as the weight you tell it your car weighs is accurate. most drag strips have a car scale if not u could try a commercial recycling center they always have a car scale and could weigh it for free. Anyone else know of places that weigh cars???
