I am currently looking for an SC and found a 91 5 speed /w 75K on the clock for $3500. I was wondering if this is a good price or too much?

Thanks,
Hughges :)

Very nice! Yea if the Engine is solid (and it appears the car was taken care of)
Then yea it's worth the money...Did you take it for a test drive yet?????

Well, I haven't taken it for a test drive yet. Mainly because it is 150 miles from where I live. I'm going to try and see if it is at all possible for me to look at it this weekend. The only down side to this is that I'm not 18 yet and I will need a loan to buy the car. I am going to hope to God and pray that the car is still for sale when I turn 18 on May 2. Mainly because the Thunderbird SC is my dream car.

There are still plenty of SC's out there if you don't get this one you'll get one soon. I looked at 17 SC's over 8 months before I decided on my 90 Titanium. This one has all of it's maint records every mod receipt tire change oil change you name it since the day it rolled off the line (Sept 9 1989 10:37 A.M.) When you test this one out or any for that matter do your normal fluid checks but also listen make sure the blower isn't makeing any noises don't be afraid to get on it check make sure when you floor it you if it's close to stock or stock you should make about 12 lbs of boost if it's an AOD (Automatic Over Drive) get a good feel for how it goes in and out of OD. Also check each wheel try to rock them to see if there is any play especially the rear. The bearings and knuckle bushings can go on these if it has fairly low miles it can be an indication the car was ran hard. If you can find one the has all it's documentation like mine then you can tell the previous owner cared enough not to really abuse the car. JMO....Good Luck and Happy Early Birthday :D

If you do plan on doing any mods DO THE EXHAUST FIRST! Save those headgaskets :D

I'll be sure to do those checks IF I can get around to taking the car for a test drive. Thanks for the info.
