Ran my car a bit more today, thanks again for your help...

Two strange things going on -

1)

When i turn off the engine, even take out the key, the engine will stay on for a second... very strange.. something to do with the ignition wire maybe?

2)

I think the belts might be rubbing slightly at that one spot above the water pump pulley... where the tensioner is very close to it... any suggestions on tightening this up somehow?

Thanks a bunch and hey everyone can feel free to go after these questions!

see ya,

If you installed your IC fan, unhook it and see if it stops the engine from staying on after key-off. You may have to tap another power source.

I'd guess maybe the same thing with the IC fan wiring. I didn't have any problems with mine but it is the only thing we did that could cause anything like that. I don't know what to do about the belt because the underdrive pullies brought everything real close. How does she run though?

Guess I should be more descriptive...

Im gonna get an OEM belt sometime soon it turns out this one is a little too loose, so that should solve one problem.

I'll try the wiring tommorrow when I can see. Thanks la cougar racha...

Aaron... tested some more tonight.... seems to run stronger than ever except when it misses! I am really likin this and thanks a bunch for the help.... hopefully I'll get to test it on some COMPETITION soon =)

Hey Evan,
Which mods do you have now?
Did you notice a diff when you put your SC pulley on?

Um let's see... in order of effect as far as I could see, greatest to least...

10% OD pulley (after I broke a belt hehe)
ZR intake
Funky Exhaust (the glasspack one David...)
IC fan (havent had sufficient time to test this but I am not feeling a loss aftert the car heats up and even a bit of gain all around
UD pulleys... (need a new belt for these, some very slight rubbing)

Thar ya go... im having some misfiring right now ordering some wires as I write this.... hope to get em on before a week from Sat.

See ya,

Hey Evan,
You have quite the list going on there.
Did you buy a smaller belt when you put the new SC pulley on?
If so where did you get your belt?
Or did you go with a larger tensioner?
I have a little too much slack in my SC belt after putting on a 10% pulley.

D Rainer

Ok one more thing.
If you went with the new tensioners. Where did you get them and what size tensioners did you get?
Thanks man,
D Rainer

David, I DID replace the tensioners recently, they were from SCperformance.com, but they were the stock size.

When I had some slipping, I had a goodyear gatorback belt... I went with the OEM belt and that fixed it, although I was told that I could have gone a size smaller in the goodyears.

either is good, although at this point I would lean towards a size smaller if you have generic ones, no point in spending extra for one from ford.
