Welp... i've decided to purchase new motor mounts, so I bought them trough carquest which I was told were sold mounts. I was given A part# and so I ordered them (2), then I started thinking, are both sides the SAME?!

The mounts themselves are the same. The brackets would be different but I am going to guess they expect you to reuse the old ones. The OEM replacements probably have different part numbers because they come with new brackets.

Johnny,
The fact that the brackets are different is why I was a bit concerned about the solid mounts themselfs. I do plan to reuse my original brackets. Thanks for clearing that up bro :D

Mounts are the same for both sides it's just the brakets that are not the same on both sides.

If your worried that the new solid mounts will not work with your old brackets, dont worry, they will just fine. Once you have the brackets out and the old mounts removed, try to clean the brackets up with a wire brush and spray black tremclad onto them. Thsse brackets are no longer offered from FORD so take of what you have.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions Ryan, i'll do that for sure. Maybe i'll get them Chromed  jk.
On a side note, what about that little snubber thingy, does this HAVE TO go back on? Or if its badly damage and useless, is there a MacGyver way of rig'n one up, or can I leave it off?

Cheers,
Luke

By snubber thingy you mean the black rubber bumpers that are probably falling apart that are attached to each mount. They keep the bottom mounts from hitting the top bracket. If they are in good shape I would put them back in. But if they are shot, and not there, like mine are, then leave them out. I don't think it can hurt with them not there.
