RJ... Thank god you brought yourself down to my level :D Looks great! Now if you would only let her go braless she would look even better IMHO!
You purchased the Eibach pro kit with the Tokico shocks correct. How do you like the ride now compared to the old setup?

Thanks guys, and I haven't even washed her since the Daytona get together!!!
Gunslinger.. Tint was done here in TVille at Reeds auto tint and detaling.. Guy does an excellent job, uses LLUmnar lifetime warr. tint and does the back window as one piece. That was one of my biggest requirements.. Not quite legal, but hey I work for the clerks office, who else to get in trouble with the cops right!!
Ben04... If your going to lower yours using the Eibachs, the one suggestion I have is either don't go with the 275 40s on the rear or get the air bags so you only have to do the spring job once. This one is rubbing my new Cooper Zeon tires on the rear, next paycheck comes the airbags for the rear springs. It doesn't seem to do it as long as I stay in firm mode, but mines a daily driver and I really like the ability to allow the system to float a little. The airbags in the rear springs will stiffin them up a little but it shouldn't ride as harsh as the ARC in firm mode all the time. Rims are Chrome 17X9 280 R Motorsports Cobra wheels, they are TBird wheel pattern and you can get them thru Cudza101 over on the group buy forum. Good luck on the lowering this weekend, I had 20 minutes a piece on the rear corners and not counting the compressing of the front springs and all that jive I had the front corners done in and 30 minutes a corner, quite possible the easiest thing I've done on this thing since I've had it.
Everythings on folks, all billet pulleys, BHJ Balancer, TBird88 down pipes and the flowmasters out the back, 2 new alternators in one day yesterday, new tires, wheels... I'm on a roll and my check book is on a tumble.. But hey I like it..

Braless won't happen till after I get that Modified Cobra R hood I want Bryan, the 96-97 headlight conversion just really looks bad on that 95 hood, I've got to start saving back up after wiping my self out here...

looks good RJ
did you change the rubber insulator on the back springs they wear out and should level out the car when changed and might be cheaper then the bags

Not Yet Brad, I was going to put the new ones of those in when I take it apart to put the Ride-Rite bags in.. I found that the Firestone Ride-Rite kit number 4104 would be just right with a 93-95 that is lowered. I can get those for like $65 for the pair instead of $100+ from Bill..

Looking good Richard !! Nothing like a ride height adjustment to give a car a better "attitude".

its safe to put lwoering springs on stock shocks right? doesn't mess em up none?

Yes Ben04 the stock shock has enough travel in it to be able to use the 1.5" lowering springs.. I would think the guys running 2" are pushing their luck on bottoming out but I dont' know for sure on that..
Hey Thanks Ed, I really like the looks of it now, should have done this to my first bird, I'd probably have kept it... Nice to see you come to visit us from way up there in the Canadian country side!! :D

That looks really nice Richard. Billet pulleys, nice.
Any pointers for doing the lowering job. Never acid dip them to make them lighter. Or, remove the wheels first before starting the job. You know me, I can use all the help I can get. :p

Hey thanks Duane, :D LMOA, heard that on the help part!! The springs really weren't as big of a deal as I thought they were goint to be. Between those and the HB I'm almost beginning to like working on this thing again.. The front end was a PITA, and the exhaust was a pain (still is with a couple of leaks), but hey I'm a reformed heavy truck mech. turned computer tech, and my first thought was always get a bigger hammer, not always the thing to do on the SC ya know!!
RJ
PS.. Help for the day... Use Jack Stands... That way when ya get the wheels off you don't get yourself in trouble..

Actually, I was looking for some pointers. I just threw a few funnys in there because that's just me. I guess you just have to know me or read some of my more entertaining posts I occasionally make within the Non-Technical forum.
So, what can you tell me?

I'm sorry Duane, I really did think you were kidding... I figured you were old hat as this kind of stuff...
It was pretty simple, jack the car up, pull all the wheels and support one side of the rear lower control arm at a time... disconnect the lower shock mount and the two lower control arm to spindle assembly bolts. Let the jack down to bottom and push down on the lower control arm popping the spring out of there.. Only hint here would be go ahead and by the air bags for the rear springs then you only have to do this once.. Oh, and might as well get the rubber mounting pads for the springs new also, they settle over time. Jack it all back up and reattach the bolts... Done, 20 minutes a side... Well that is without the bags, those will take it a little longer...
Fronts, same kind of procedure except release would be the upper control arm connection to the spindle assymbly, support it with a bugie to keep it from straining any of the lines or sensor wiring.. Loosen the 3 outer capturing nuts on the top of the tower.. Do not loosen the center nut that holds that puppy together.. Release jack, loosen lower shock tower bolt to lower control arm and push down slightly on lower control arm to get the shock tower to come out and clear.. Reverse order putting it back in... Suggestions here, before you start find a place with a wall mounted spring compressor pay them the 10 bucks to change the springs for ya... Don't forget to mark the upper and lower plate alighnment before the dudes pop the springs out for you and the new ones in.. Take it home and bolt it all back in... Not counting the 30 minutes worth of drive and wait at the shop to change the springs out, you looking at about 35 minutes for the front per side...
The reason I say get the bags, it will save you taking it apart again... I've got 275 40-17s on my rear and the wheels stick out far enough to get some wheel rub.. If your going that big on the rear you might as well do everything to the rear at one time..
Run into a snag Duane drop me a line..
