i got screwed literally, neart the sidewall of my left rear, so i think this swill be a good time to replace both.

stock rims.

im lookin at 255 50 16 or 245 50 16 ...

any AFFORDABLE options here?

Hey Evan,
If you are looking for some inexpensive but good tires you can always go with the Pep Boy brand of Z rated tires they are called Futura. I have them on my car and like them for the price $100.00
I have both the 245/50 and the 255/50.
I had a set of Goodyear VR's and they did not hold as well on high speed turns or in the water. They were not worth the price. On the other hand the Futura Z's in my opinion are a good tire in the rain and for every day driving.
I know several guys here have the Futura's and seem to like them.If you want to see the tires before you buy them we could meet tomorrow afternoon.

David, I got the futura's after all, they do look nice and it handles better, and with all this rain, I am pretty impressed. I had a bad experience at Pep Boys though, but whatever, I'm happy.
