not totalled......

Damage estimate: $2046.82
minus dedictible $500
= $1546.82

i dont have the check yet because they want me to find a shop (they reccomended the local FORD dealer)

basically the parts came out to around $500

$95 for the headlight
$52 for the corner lamp
$185 for a used hood
$125 for a used right fender (i thought these were like $117 NEW)
$95 for used header panal

total parts $551 $16
total paint $238
total labor $1038

so like i said $2046.82 of which i get $1546.82

now i just gotta figure out if im gonna take the money, throw it in with $1500 of my own money, and REALLY fix the car

pocket the money and buy something else and part teh car out (so yeah id have my $3000 for that other sc)

also, they said if i go to enterprise and tell them im an allstate customer i can rent for $20 a day+ tax since i have Full coverage insurance...basically i can cheat the whole not 25 thing.

oh and if i do fix it i will probably take jeramie up on his offer for the headlight and corner lamp. i figure if they are $20 bux to ship, that would save me $150 right there.

Funny, I was reading some of the TBU guys saying it would be around that amount. Good luck Pete, you have some decisions to make now. TTYS

Hey Peter,
Good to hear it's not declared totaled.
I just thought I'd throw this out there for ya, I bought my pair of headlights new from this guy on ebay and if you are going to pay almost $100.00 for one headlight you may as well do both. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33710&item=2474005378
Also you may want to talk to Victor up in Ocala, Fl I think he has some parts cars down in Miami as well as in Ocala and may be able to get you the body pannels relitivley cheap as well as some other needed parts. His email addy is spinningwheels-sc@earthlink.net
I'm glad to see that it won't have a salvage title attatched to it if you decide to fix her up. Good luck with the decision!

Hey Greg, didn't Mike Yates have some good parts left on his car??

I'm not sure if Mike still has his SC shell anymore, the last time I was over there they just got the engine out and I snagged that rear deck lid off it but I think it was ready to go to the junker. Plus I think he had too much fun with his high speed cutoff wheel and took the front of the SC off to get the engine out with tranny still in tact, but I'm not too sure if the fenders fell victim. I'm probably going to give him a call later tonight to see when I can pick up the Centerforce from him and I'll ask if he still has it, if he does I'd be glad to snag the fender for Peter and store it at my house untill we can get it down to him. I think he still had that hood you gave him as well, but it was a newer style one i think.
We'll see and I'll let it be known either way! ;)
P.S. RJ I finally found a stock spoiler on ebay that i got for $40.00 shipped! with the LED lights! just had to brag! lol
