3:45 gear Install

What is involved with a 3:45 gear install? Is this the kind of thing that can be done by the novice with the right tools and instructions? Anyone know where I can find instructions on changing my gears on a 1990 T-bird. What else is involved? Will I have to change my speedo or do any tuning to swap new gears? I figure these are my best bet over my current 3:27s since I don't wanna go too steep because I do use the highway a fair amount.

This is one of those "if you have to ask..." type questions. In other words, no, you don't do it yourself. Did you mean 3.55 gears? 3:45 would be a pretty steep gear ratio!

Actually if you just get a complete center section, it's easy enough to swap that in. But swapping the gears is a whole lot harder.

3.45

I meant 3.45. I'm goin' from a 3.27 to a 3.45
Not a big difference but I can get the gear new and cheap.
