Hey guys,

Well as i post about 6 months ago, for some strange reason my passenger floor was soaking wet one day. I still don't knbow why, but i was worried all winter that it would rust out my floor but i could not do anything because it was winter and to cold to fool around with the car.

So today i said @#^$ lets rip the carpet out clean it dry it etc. So i'm on my little way ripping it out, i now have to out But..... There is another part to the carpet which is like which i assume insolent and i can not get it out of the car. it connects throught the middle console!!! underneath the heater deck. How do i get this out.

Also when i lifted this part of my carpet i saw my floors on the pass and drive side, the pass side is ok with a couple of rust spot, commen to older cars BUT..... The driver side is done for!!!!!! there is even a HOLE in it!! I was not impressed! I will need a new floor on the drivers side :o(. i will get some pic's up when i get my friends digital cam.

Thanks,

Jeff

many others have had this problem, floor rots outr and they get soaked carpets, before i even finished rading this post I knew you had a hole int he floorboard. I think someone posted about FORD making new floor boards that are replacements you can weld in, but maybe it was someone just ahd new ones made, I forget.

The extra material under the carpet can be removed by either removing the console or just cutting it from where you don't want it. If you want you could cut around the console to avoid removing it (the console).
