Cleaning IC with mineral spirit question?

Hi! I'm changing my gear steering and power steering pump, now that i have a chance i take out the IC and fill up with mineral spirit based on the knowledge of other post, my question is: How many days i can let the IC fill with mineral spirit, if i dont take out the mineral spirit it going to damage my IC or not? any advice are going to be apreciate. I going to work in the car on the weekend so 4 or 3 more days affect the IC?

I don't think it will hurt to allow the spirits to sit in the IC but having it super clean won't help because it will still collect oil as soon as you start the engine any way. Good luck
