I would like to make it to a meet. I don't have any plans yet, so Memorial Day weekend sounds good to me. Are there any more vacancies on the floor?

Sounds like that weekend is working best for everyone, so I'll plan for that.

So what is the plan for that weekend? BBQ? Go-Karts? Beach?
Still Crusin

So what is the plan for that weekend? BBQ? Go-Karts? Beach?
BBQ - YES
GO-kARTS - We can, place near my house
BEACH - Can do that too, just remember it's a holiday weekend
Other options:
Friday evening, there's a car show(free) at a park about 8 miles from my house
Dog track is about 15min away, if you feel like blowin some money
Kemah boardwalk is nearby, fun place, but you won't be able to get near it on a holiday weekend unless you park 2miles away
There are also some ball fields behind my house, if anyone wants to swing a bat(bring your own gear)
There's also Houston Raceway Park if you wanna run a track. I haven't checked their website lately though. They may have special event there that weekend.
I haven't seen any squirrels around my house, but there's a bayou tributary along the back edge of the park behind my house that likely has some crocidliles and some possum's if you're into game hunting. I've seen possums but no crocs yet.
If all else fails, I got plenty of work needs done to my SC :D
I'm open to suggestions, if you got one. If I think of anything else or see something cool to do, I'll post it.

We could also go to the car show saturday night out in Katy. Its FREE! They have muscle cars, classic cars, and some newer cars (LS1 and stuff). There are NO imports here. I repeat NONE! From Ricks house it would probably take us about 1.5 hours to get there. Usually starts up around 6 and ends whenever. Just a suggestion. Being Memorial Weekend it should be huge!

Rick,
I will arriving in H-Town sometime that Friday evening, around 7 or 8pm. When were you expecting us to show up?
I believe Colby will be following me, he can't commit as of yet, because of a job that he may have to do that very same weekend. I will keep you posted on his status!

Should be FUN, esp. when we have that BURN OUT contest at 3am :D
I will be having Dinner (TEX-MEX) in Houston when we arrive, I was thinking we could meet up at some local mexican joint. Like the last one Stephen took me toooo back in August 2003, and I believe it located in South Houston or maybe even Webster, very close to Rick's! I'm sure Stephen will chime in with it~ Rick send me your address so I can mapquest it to your crib~
Hey Pearl...The last weekend in May we are linking up at Rick's in Dickenson, those dates are 29th (Sat) and the 30th (Sun), Memorial Day is the 31st (Mon)~. Would be cool to see a few new guys, the more the merrier!

I can make it I just need a ride, my car is under the knife as we speak. My headgaskets haven't blown yet, but my car has like 115,000 on her and I just want the piece of mind of having them done, and while im in there I ordered every bushing I could find from mn12 performance =), along with solid motor mounts transmounts and differential mounts. I am also going to get tbird88 downtube, ported manifolds, cut my cats outta there, and get a better resonator. So I'm basically going to be driving a new car =). Gotta love what you can do with graduation money, yesterday was my last day of school.

yesterday I installed Tokico Illumina 2 elec. adj. shocks and Vogtland springs in the front, and need to get to work on the rears. I've already measured it, exactly 3/4" drop in the front and very agressive handling. I also was able to install a SCP 10% overdrive pulley. Let's just say you couldn't miss me if I drove by...

I will not be able to make it, this time. I've been dealing with a pinched nerve in my back for the past few days. I'm scheduled for an MRI on Friday to see what the deal is. Sorry to cancel on such short notice, but I have no other choice. Hopefully others will make it out to your place, as I was really looking forward to it.

Good luck with your MRI. I can imagine making a long road trip in a car wouldn't be much fun with a pinched back nerve. Thanks for the notice. Any word on Colby?

I haven't heard a word from Colby, so I assume that he is away doing that job this weekend. So I would say, that he won't make it either. This sucks, I was really looking forward to getting together again. Please take as many digital pictures as possible.......
Good to see Jeff will make this one, but the question is "what will he be driving", I know it won't have a BLUE OVAL on it  Fix your RIDE JEFF, either one, It really doesn't matter at this point!

Hi everyone,
I just flew back in from Iowa last night. Rick, I'll make this one if the invite is good for last minute notice. Let me know, or if I can help you out somehow.
Vernon, I don't know what time your planning on coming down, but if you would like a spot for your kids to play/rest, they are welcome at our house.
We have a bedroom we can make room in. We'll be out in Stafford for horse riding until around 4pm. Anytime after that is fine (or they can come see the stables at Sunrise Equestrian Center).
The 93 is almost ready to run again, hopefully tonight! If anyone is desperate for entertainment, I have another SC motor on a stand to oggle.

Rumors of your demise were greatly exadurated. Glad your back in town and you are, of course, welcome to come over. If you can give me an e-mail address, I'll contact you with directions.
May have another guy that lives near Seabrook over also.

Great news, I'll be glad to see you again Steve. As for the invite, sounds good. We may take you up on it.
Rick, what time is everyone showing up? My GF will have to work until the afternoon. I can either ride in early and she'll come down later, or wait until she gets off and come down with her. It really depends on if the others are coming in early or not. By the way don't forget to email me your address to ManicV6Mechanic@wmconnect.com.

Glad you made it back to San Antonio ok Andy. I took a couple of pics with my digital camera, but then it crapped out on me. Wynn took some and I also took some with his camera. Wynn will have the majority of the pics on his camera.
I want to thank each of you that could make it. Six SC's were there including 5 late model 5-speeds and they weren't all red this time.
Thanks to Wynn for bringing his own camera and my ic gaskets.
Jeff for the class on the sc innovation, (too bad I missed it).
Andy gets the longest distance award (that means you get to host next time) :D
Steve gets the "I showed up with the only early model SC" award
Vernon gets the award for bringing the most people in one SC
Thanks to Matt for just showing up. He and I had talked on phone a few times, but had never met till the meet. Matt and Andy share the "best lookin' SC" award.
Special gratitude and appreciation go to my wife for helping my sorry a$$. I wouldn't have managed the 16 guests we had without her.
Calvin, Colby and the Louisiana gang you will receive the "wish you coulda been here" award

Just in case some of you have not seen the Poll on voting for SC Shootout for 2005. Dallas is on list for some reason. It ought to be Houston, but hey. Dallas is in second place right now. Heard there were some V8 cars voting for out East agian.
