Transmission Problem

I blew the engine in my 94 SC so I replaced it  . However when I hooked the tranny back up something went wrong   . It slid right in with no real force needed. Now that it is in though I can only put the car in gear when it is not running. If I try to shift while motor is running I get a real bad grind as if the clutch is not disengaging  . I don't want to have to try and fix it more than once so I would appreciate any help!!!!

THANX!

Might wanna check your fliud levels. Assuming this is a 5spd, check the hydraulic slave cyllinder resivoir by the brake fluid cap. You may also may need to re-bleed the system if you removed the clutch line during the removal.

I did not remove the clutch line, but I also did not use a alignment tool if that could have been the mistake. Although I hear that if they slide in that there are already aligned?

Could be a bad pilot bearing. I have an extra alignment tool if you need one also. Idunno, this is a tough one.
