painting valve covers?

I stripped off the old paint which was peeling. Can I just use some hi-temp spray paint? Can I use the 400 deg. paint, or would I need the 1200 deg. paint (for exh. manifolds)?

I have the magnesium covers.

i just painted mine with some high temp paint on my truck and its working fine. they dont get nearly as hot as the exhaust does so you dont really need the exhaust paint for it.
