It's realy hard tofind somone over here in Canada that knows alot about these cars.

I have two issues my first ine is when the car was running i would have an
irratic idole and the car would do alot hard jerking when driving, and this
would happen at any given time weather the car was cold or hot.

And now by swapping parts with my fathers T-Bird SC to try and find a solution,, when removing the alternator there was a spark and now
the car will not run, ionce we start it, it just conks out!

im thinking to bring it to Ford, but i dont want to be charged an arm and a
leg.

if anyone could give me some insight non this, it would be greatly appreciated

Did you try pulling the diagnostic codes?
You should always disconnect the battery when changing the alternator.. :eek:

Oh yeah we did diconnect the battery !

i just found out that the battery wasn't disconnected! sorry about that!

Before you disconnect the battery get the codes that are stored in the memory.

There is the distinct possibiltiy, Kevin, that the spark you saw simply shorted a fuse. Take a few minutes to check both under the hood AND under the dash. If ANY are blown then replace them. Retrieve whatever codes may be stored in the computer. You didn't mention if there were any codes present, via the "Check Engine" light, when it was running, so try that also.
Worry about getting it to run first, then we'll deal with what's wrong with her.
There are a lot of things that you can check yourself, so you won't have to take it to a dealership... yet.
How much mechanical experience do you and your father have?
If you're a beginner then something like a Haynes or Chilton's Manual would be an asset.
