Im going sometime this week to have the exhaust done I was qouted a price of $450. Im doing the 2.5in downtubes to magnaflow resinator no cats, 3 in center to y pipe to 2.5in with 2 magnaflow mufflers. The price he quoted was not for mandrell bent tubes. I quess what im trying to figure out is is there really that much of a diffrence of the regular bent tubes and the mandrell bent tubes.

At this level probably not..Not worth the cost difference

Actually there is quite a big difference. With mandrel bent tubes there is no deformation of the tube where the bend is. It is completely round.
Some other methods will crush the tube at the bend or minimally cause it to be oval shaped causing restriction.

Chris Wise had crush bent 2.5" dual pipes on his 11 sec SC.

There of cours eis a difference in looks..But performance wise...I doubt youd notice anything at all..Thats what I was getting at

As long as there are no "Kinks" in the pipe then the compression bends should be fine. I would however reject anything with a kink.

Rather than worry about compression or mandrel bent tubing, I would ask the question, single or dual. I say this in your case because you are using a 3" center pipe (presuming that you cant get your hands on 3 1/2") which is roughly the same as a pair of 2 1/4" pipes. Since you are having this custom built, i would look toward true dual 2 1/2" all the way through and not worry about mandrel bending.

What did you end up doing and how is it working out?

I ended up going with the standard bend. I ended up deleting the cats with 2 1/2in to 3in. single back to the y and 2 1/2 from there to the magnaflow mufflers. Oh I also used a magnaflow resinatore also. My first run with the new exhaust was 15.03 not sure what the mph were and that was with the stock pulley. Ive put a 5% on it and my best run was 15.18 so far.
