Well what else is new in the world of working on a ****ing supercoupe. Oh thats right, nothings new. You go to put on a ****ing 5% pulley , no big deal right? wrong. I take the ****ing thermostat housing off get anew gasket and go to put it back on. What the **** do you know.......one of the ****ing threads is crossthreaded. Well thats just ****ing perfect. now i get to figure out how to get a ****ing bolt to hold this piece of **** together. I honestly hope this ****ing thing blows up or something. I might even just rip the top ofend of the engine apart and start rebuilding. Its absolutley ****ing ridiculous. Everytime i try to do something to this piece of **** something else goes wrong. Un****ingbelievable. But you know what, maybe i should get used to this. Maybe ill just realize that next time i change my oil my headlight will probably fall out. Or when o put my brand new sunroof seal in my windshield will cave in, or after i put the new intake on the oil pan will fall off. Maybe ill be putting in a cd player and my wheels will fall off? who knows its the world of working on a damned supercoupe!!!!

WOOOOOOOFU$^^%#$INGHOOO!!!!!!!!!

Why did you take the ****ing thermostat housing off? I hope you didn't take it off so you could change out your ****ing pulley. I kinda know how you feel. You know that Cougar that's on the homepage right now? That car kicks my a** everytime I touch the thing. My T-Bird on the other hand, never have any problems. Takes patience to do mechanical work. Have you tried a thread file on that bolt that is crossthreaded? Might work. ;)

well its all back together now, and yes i took the TSTAT houseg off to get the pulley off. And as for the cross threaded thread, i think my socket was just getting jammed, lol :o :o :o :o :o holy crapola, i was pissed. The car pulls like crazy now with the 5% installed. and im waiting on my intake to get here next week  as for patience, i lack very much of it.

sometimes i wanna just jump off a cliff.

thanks for letting me rant everyone, lol ;) :D

Hey Walter, I understand your anger at your car. I used a 3 arm on mine and I was about to change my mind and decide not to even put the od pulley on it. It took about 30 minutes just to get the puller positioned right to be able to take it off.

The second time I did it, I used a 3 arm too, but took one of them off. This seemed to be a lot easier. I've learned not to expect anything to be easy to work on, so when it does get frustrating, I take a break and then try it again.

Hope you enjoy that pulley, it was a b!tch to put on.

Yeah, I really love reading these angry ****ing ranting posts every now and then. It's great when somebody takes the time to actually sit down and type the same exact ****ing thoughts that go through every one of our ****ing minds pretty much every ****ing time we try to work on these engines.

I know how you feel. I started the wonderful project of replacing my headgaskets after my car pissed antifreeze all over the local Taco Bell parking lot. So after like a week or 2 of screwing with that and wanted to push the car over a cliff I finished it. I started it up and everything seemed to be working right. Then I drove it, still seemed fine. Then I gave it some gas and the damn thing started studdering and missing under load. I had no clue what happened so I let my dad figure it out because I would have done more harm then good to the car at that moment  After about a month of looking for vacuum leaks and pretty much everything else he could think of it eneded up being the ****ing spark plugs.Arggghhh this is starting to wear me out I think maybe I should start driving rice burners again....They're less stressful :p

Yeah I feel your pain. Replaced the head gaskets, then about 30K miles later threw a rod. Found a loaner motor rebuilt it, put everything back together and sold it. But it was still a fun car. Not too many 89 Cougars that could bark a 3rd gear shift. :D
